Biography

Hello, my fellow fourth grade families!

My name is Miss Dahlheim and I am the fourth grade teacher here at Catlin Arts Magnet. This will be my 5th year of teaching, with four years being in the Omaha Public School district. I am originally from Gretna, NE. I love attending sporting events and spending time with my family and my dog Lucy. In 2014 I received my bachelor's degree in Education at the University of Nebraska at Lincoln and now I am currently working towards getting a masters degree in teaching and learning mathematics. I love fourth grade and all the exploring, learning, and fun we get to have throughout the year! I am looking forward to being your teacher this year!

What do you need know about fourth grade?

In addition to your child's planner, they will also bring home a "Weekly Homework" folder. On this folder you will find a list of what is expected for students to complete every night. Students will be expected to study their spelling words for at least 10-15 minutes every night in addition to reading 20 minutes as well. As for math, you will notice that you child will receive math homework every Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday. This will be placed inside their yellow folder and is expected to be returned the next day. I also, would like to kindly ask if parents can sign your child's "Weekly Homework" folder and planner every night. It would be greatly appreciated!
